Spring is here. After the cold, dark days of winter, we’re slowly coming out of hibernation. It’s the perfect time to set some goals, to shake off the last traces of the old and welcome in new life.
Goals are dreams with a plan. Goals will get you to where you want to be, rather than focusing on what you ‘should be’.
Goals don’t have to be big. They can be as small and simple as you like. They can be little things that you would like to add to your year – little things that overall, will make you a happier and healthier person. It can be as simple as gifting experiences to yourself, ticking off some of your bucket list items, or even as simple as acts of self-care.

- Keep a regular journal
- Don’t be afraid to say NO
- Buy yourself flowers
- Walk more
- Have a ‘do-nothing day‘ once in a while
- Make a to-read list
- Focus on nutrients not calories
- Make a playlist of your favourite songs to listen to when you’re sad or stressed or lonely
- Find a form of exercise that makes you feel alive
- Delete social media apps
- Get an early night regularly
- List three things you are grateful for every day
- Sit in child’s pose for a minute or two if you feel stressed
