A family meal plan for July

Processed with VSCO with preset

Another month, and another meal plan! I’m still finding it so much easier to plan a month at a time – though last month we ended up going away for a few days, and then I kind of just made meals up when we got back! But on a whole, having the month planned out makes meal time less stressful – being able to prep early in the day and knowing the week’s meal plans before I shop makes a huge difference. The kids like being able to look at the meal plan and seeing what is coming up too – I like to get them involved in the cooking and often they’ll check out the meal plan and ask to help with specific meals!

You can see April, May and June’s plans for some more ideas. I’m still feeding one vegan, one vegetarian, one who can’t eat lactose, two meat eaters and one very fussy eater! So I try and cater to everyone’s taste without making five different meals each day. I will cook a variety of veggies with each meal, or leave salads ‘deconstructed’ so people can pick and choose the sides they like.

Here’s what we’ll be eating through July:

  • BBQ {fingers crossed!}
  • Picky Dinner
  • Pesto pasta
  • Veggie Burritos
  • Dirty Fries
  • Squash soup, cheesy toast
  • Calzone, Salad
  • Fried Rice, bean salad, grilled veggies

      Thanks Kim! It’s not always easy to cater to everyone’s dietary requirements/preferences but I try to find some balance!
