Mamaheart

Mamaheart - what motherhood means to you

Introducing a brand new series… it’s been far too long since I’ve had an ongoing series running, and I’ve missed it. ‘Mamaheart’ is about motherhood, about what being a mama means to you, about the good AND the bad. I thought I’d kick off this week with my own answers ;) Then every week we’ll have a different mama here, sharing her Mamaheart with us.

+++++++++

‘What does motherhood mean to you?’

Being whole where I didn’t know I wasn’t, not having a second to yourself, loving someone else more than you love yourself.

‘How has motherhood changed you?

Entirely. Things that seemed important before now seem trivial, I have {almost} endless patience and strength that I didn’t know I had.

‘What is the hardest part of being a mama?’

Lack of sleep! This mama doesn’t do well with broken nights!

‘What is the biggest joy that your children have given you?’

Unconditional love. They taught me that I am perfect just the way I am.

‘What one piece of advice would you give a first time mama?’

Trust your instinct. Do what feels right for you and your baby, not what a book//friend//relative tells you is right. Savor every single moment – time really does fly by far too quickly.
