Work hard for your dreams

I came across a quote whilst scrolling IG the other day {but annoyingly didn’t save it, and now can’t find it again}. It was probably from Quote Collectors Club and it basically said something along the lines of ‘You still have to put the work in when you are manifesting.’

It really struck a chord with me, because we hear so much about how easy manifesting can be, the law of attraction, positive thinking, etc…. Yet, ultimately, we still have to put in the work if we want to achieve anything.

Just thinking good thoughts and picturing yourself passing that test/getting a new job/falling in love won’t do any good if you sit at home and don’t put any effort in.

Dreams won’t come true if you don’t work for them

For years and years, I’ve made a list each year of goals – and then promptly not done anything else to actually achieve them.

Something has changed in me though. Lately, I’ve been putting in ALL the work. Feeling the fear of failure but pushing ahead regardless. Finding courage and just chasing my dreams.

I’ve used all the tools I have available to me – positive thinking, manifestation, but most of all, I’ve been working my ass off too.

I am not leaving anything to chance any longer. I have a list of dreams, goals, things I want to achieve. And I will. I’m quietly working away on each and everyone, making plans, studying, practising, visualising, reading, learning…..

Understanding that I can’t do them all at once, so some are on hold while others get ticked off. But I’m getting there, slowly but surely everything that I want is coming to fruition.

I have faith in myself and my abilities. I know that I can achieve anything that I put my mind towards IF I put the work in to make it so.

Where are you at with this? Do you have a list of dreams that you want to achieve? A list that has been sat gathering dust for too long? Are you actively working on it? Putting in the effort to make them come true?

  • Write your list of goals/dreams/hearts desires. Anything goes here. Then I want you to write it again, this time in order of importance/achievability. Some goals will need ticking off before others for practical reasons {You may need to pass your driving test before you can live in the middle the countryside for example}
  • For each goal {or at least the ones you can start working on now} I want you to write a list of steps of how you will ahieve it. Break it down as much as you can.
  • Create a rough timeline of steps – give yourself a deadline for each goal and work backwards from there.
  • Visualise yourself when you’ve achieved each goal. Imagine how you will feel, the difference it willl make, see yourself achieveing them in your mind.
  • Start putting the work in. No excuses. No one will do this for you – take the first step today.
