A romantic French Valentine’s evening
For
They were kind enough to send me a hamper of delicious French foods for my Valentines meal. I decided to opt for a light, snack-type meal as we’d be having our ‘date time’ quite late at night when I’d finally gotten the baby to bed. Perfect finger foods to snack on whilst watching a romantic movie, snuggled up on the sofa.
I picked up some fresh baguettes, sliced them into thin rounds and topped them with a delicious combination of tomatoes and spring onions, mixed in a little tapenade, lemon juice and a drizzle of truffle oil. There were slices of brie and some tasty Boursin to go alongside.
I made a little dessert too – meringues topped with berries and a little drizzle of Bailey’s poured over the top. Delish!
We shared a bottle of Bordeaux and nibbled some of the salted caramel chocolate too {my absolute favourite}.
A perfect delicious meal for a perfectly romantic evening.
