Summer Memories
Summer Days.
I spent the month mostly unplugged from this space and all social media. Not offline as I still had to work. But taking a step back from the online world.
Focusing on being present and spending time with my kiddos.
With Lola home from Uni for the summer, we had a full house. It’s been loud, and hectic, there have been plenty of arguments amidst the laughter – but it’s been lovely having them all home.
We’ve visited castles, swam in the river, picked our own berries, watched the sunset at the beach, been on lots of adventures, spent long days with friends, eaten outside, been to festivals and camped in a field with 30 of our friends. Taken road trips, danced in the rain, crafted on rainy afternoons, celebrated a birthday and enjoyed a slightly slower pace of life.
I managed a mini break back to my brothers for a few days with all five kiddos – not often we all get away together anymore, so it was very much appreciated.
Now September has arrived again, Lola goes back to Uni in a couple of weeks, Kiki back to College and Baya starts College. I’ll only have the two boys full time home educated now, life is changing rapidly.
Here’s to a summer full of memories
