What Mama Wore – ALEXI jewellery review & giveaway
I spend my days working from home, home-educating my kiddos and down on my knees playing with a toddler. I’ve developed something of a ‘mum uniform’… more often than not, you’ll find me wearing jeans, a Breton top and trainers. They’re comfy and practical, don’t look so shabby I can’t pop out in them or feel embarrassed answering the door to the postman and it’s easy to throw on in the morning. Since decluttering my wardrobe I’ve realised that it’s better to have less clothes that I actually love and feel good wearing, than a wardrobe full of stuff I don’t actually like or wear.
That said, it’s nice to change it up once in a while, or add a little bit of jewellery to break up the outfit. A couple of rings, a necklace and my watch are my usual adornments. ALEXI jewellery got in touch a couple of weeks back to say hi and see if I’d like to review a piece of their jewellery. I fell head over heels with this gorgeous rose gold bangle. I was very excited when it arrived, and it’s just as stunning in person as it looked on their website.
It’s delicate, yet not flimsy, fits perfectly on my wrist and looks so pretty. I love that it is slim fitting – I’ve had other bangles that are quite large and loose, and they tend to annoy me as they move around and end up half on my hand not my wrist. This one stays put though, and really adds a little pizzaz to my daily uniform. I think it will also look gorgeous dressed up for a night out {if I ever get one of those again!}.
