Essential Oil Remedy for Cold Sores
I’m unlucky enough to get cold sores, when I’m stressed or tired, or when I get a cold. They’re sore and itchy, and just not nice! Thankfully, this essential oil blend eases them. I use it as soon as I feel the first ‘tingle’, the sweet almond oil stops keeps it moist, and the essential oils bring some relief.
You’ll Need:
10ml sweet almond oil
6 drops Chamomile German
8 drops Tea Tree
5 drops Lavender
I keep my blend in an old essential oil bottle, I can drop a little onto my finger and rub into the cold sore several times a day.

I usually use thyme oil when I get a cold and feel a sore throat coming on. I get a bowl of boiling water and drop a few drops of thyme and breathe it in. I do this a few times a day when Im coming down with a cold.
Have you tryed Bergamot on your cold sore?

January 23, 2014 at 13:44ahh thats such a good idea to have a book with some handy recipes in it too! I’ve never had a cold sore but I’ve heard they are one of those things if you get once they just keep coming back? Handy to know what to do if I ever get one! xx
