Decorating for Christmas with Pines and Needles
The
As we don’t have a car, it’s far easier to make use of Pines and Needles delivery service, you can pick your date and even designate a safe place to leave it if you’re not home. They can also send out everything you need from a mat to a tree stand – we also got a cute mini tree and a bunch of mistletoe.
Our tree arrived last Tuesday, I got it popped up in its stand so it had a couple of days for the branches to drop before we decorated. Friday afternoon rolled around, the little kiddos got back from their dad’s and we set to decorating. Festive vinyl went on, there was a box of chocolate fingers for the kiddos and we set to work.
Decorating the tree together is always one of my favourite parts of Christmas, it’s such a fun, memory-filled activity to do. Our ornaments are a mish mash of memories. Ones the kiddos have made, ones passed down from family, special ones I’ve picked up over the years. I love pulling them all out of storage and remembering the stories behind them. We usually pick up one new ornament each year, and I get the kids to make some too, I know in years to come, I’ll treasure all the memories that they hold.
The rest of the house gets decorated slowly throughout the month, a little here, a little there. It becomes part of the fun of the month to make and add to the decorations in the house as we countdown to Christmas.
If you’re still looking to get your tree, why not take a look at what Pines and Needles have to offer – if you use code A35742R246358 at checkout you’ll get a free mini tree too! Pines and Needles are also asking you to name your tree this year – you could win a tree for life from Pines and Needles by sharing a photo of your decorated tree, along with its name and the hashtag #BrucetheSpruce ! What will you call yours? {I’m leaning towards Bree the Tree haha!}
