A Spring Wedding Outfit

a spring wedding outfit

It’s almost May and Spring is fully under way {though it really doesn’t feel like it today!}, and wedding season is about to begin. I love a Spring Wedding – I think it’s a lovely time of year to get married – all the blossom on the trees and new beginnings fit perfectly with the start of married life don’t they?! I’ve been doing a little online window shopping for that ‘perfect’ wedding guest outfit. Seeing as I’m still breastfeeding, separates are far more practical for me than a dress – plus they are more versatile as I can use the individual pieces with items already in my wardrobe to create a whole host of other outfits.

If you’re on the search for a new dress/top/trousers then a good place to start is with Coast’s Spring/Summer lookbook. They have some gorgeous, feminine statement pieces that really are beautiful. I really love the nude jumpsuit, but decided that these http://www.coast-stores.com/p/levitt-lace-trousers/1617905 and embellished top. They look amazing paired together – but also work really well apart – I’m thinking that top would look great paired with a pair of jeans for an afternoon garden party!

Given the unpredictability of the UK’s weather, a jacket is most certainly a wise addition to any spring outfit! I’m loving this Chepstow Jacket from Boden – just enough to stop your arms getting chilly, and will work with jeans and dresses for everyday wear too.

Currently, I’m lugging around a giant leather rucksack as my handbag cum changing bag, practical maybe, but doesn’t look so great for a wedding! I love this across body bag from M&S – big enough for essentials, and handsfree {clutch bags and I don’t mix – I’ll inevitably leave it somewhere!}.

I’m not normally a heels kinda gal {they’re not so great for chasing toddlers around in} but I’ve fallen just a little bit in love with these Cicely Heels from Boden. Not too high, and edgy enough to work with jeans for a Saturday lunch, I think they’re lush!

And that’s a wrap – I’m even more excited for Spring Weddings now – I don’t have much excuse to dress up so I’ll take every opportunity I can get! Now to keep my fingers crossed for a sunny, dry Spring – I can’t wait to wear this spring wedding outfit!
