Saying goodbye to dirty floors
One
Carpets and kiddos {and cats} aren’t the best mix.. spills happen, mucky fingers, mucky feet, crumbs and splashes, and before you know it my lovely new carpets will be filthy already. It meant I was extremely excited to get to test out the VAX Dual Power Pro {obvs old if that’s all it takes to excite me now!!}. It’s designed for people who have young children and pets, as it can tackle accidental spills, muddy footprints (and pawprints), stubborn food and drink stains and even pet smells.
We decided to put it to the test on an old rug we had – I actually unrolled it when we first moved in, then quickly rolled it back up as it was so dirty. Mr G was nearly as excited as I was to test it out!
It’s really easy to use, add a little Vax Ultra+ carpet cleaning solution and some warm water to the tank, turn the dial to ‘wash’ and hoover away. Straight away you could see the dirt coming out of the carpet.
You can see the colour of the water when we finished – I was more than a little horrified ha! Even Kiki had a go…
We were really impressed with the results, the rug looked as good as new. The cleaner also has a ‘rinse’ feature – so once you’ve finished shampooing the carpet you can rinse any remaining residue off. It also cleans hard floors as well as carpets, and has a stretch hose so you can clean the stairs and sofas.
A carpet cleaner is something I’ve been thinking about for a while – having one at home means you can quickly clean up any spills and stains straight away to keep the carpets fresh. I’m thinking it will be especially useful when the time comes to potty train Vega!

October 2, 2015 at 15:10The Vax carpet Cleaner seems really great! I usually hire a local cleaning company (carpetcleaningsouthkensington.org.uk) to clean my carpet twice a year but I am considering buying a Vax and cut my expenses on carpet cleaners. Do you think that it will be the same?
