Now my bump is, well, 19 weeks, and making itself known, some of my normal clothing is getting a little tight. I’ve treated myself to a few maternity pieces this past week or two. There are still many pieces in my wardrobe that I can wear anyway, a few skirts and dresses especially.

Key pieces for me are a good pair of jeans, I’ve opted for under the bump ones this time, as I find them comfiest. I haven’t actually bought specific shorts, but these J Crew shorts look lovely {I’ve actually just made do with my old ones with the aid of a hair bobble on the button!!} Maternity leggings are my mainstay though. I live in leggings most of the year so having a few pairs to see me through this pregnancy was an essential for me.

I bought a few maternity vests as well as a few non-maternity ones that are nice and long. They’re perfect on their own in this hot weather, and will be great for layering under shorter tops/jumpers once autumn and winter arrive. I also have a couple of loose vest tops similar to this Topshop one, which again are fantastic for layering.

I picked up a gorgeous white summer dress similar to this one, light and airy, and again can be layered come the colder weather. The last thing that I have bought so far is a beautiful boho print maxi skirt.

What were your maternity clothing essentials when you were pregnant??

These are great items, I loved a good maternity vest and leggings, I’d say they were my staples along with summer type dresses layered up for colder weather and jeans I too did them up with a hair bobble concoction thingy, but hid it all with a longer top ;)

Very good blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers?
I’m hoping to start my own site soon but I’m a
little lost on everything. Would you propose starting with
a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m totally confused ..
    Any suggestions? Thanks a lot!
