DIY: Mantra Magnets

Who doesn’t need some magnets for their fridge? My fridge is usually home to various photos, postcards, notes and drawings from the girls. We also seem to have a large amount of bottle caps hanging around the house… I figured that we could upcycle them into a set of magnets. A little scrapbooking paper and a magnets is all you need. I added some inspiring words to these, creating a set of mantra magnets – every time I glace at at the fridge they remind me of what’s important – to love, to dream, to laugh, to hope, to trust.

You’ll Need:
Bottle Caps
Scrapbooking paper
Glue
Magnets
Diamond Glaze

mantra magnets step by step

Cut circles out of your scrap-booking paper. I printed out the words that I wanted to use in a cute handwriting font {as my actual handwriting is awful} and cut them out. Place the cut out circles inside the bottle caps, add some of the diamond glaze, then the mantra words. Cover the surface with more diamond glaze, if there are any bubbles you can pop them with a pin. Once they are dry {mine took 24 hours}, turn them over and use a strong adhesive to glue a magnet to the back. I picked a pack of 100 magnets up on eBay for around £3 and they are super strong too.

These make a great gift idea – add words that work for who you are gifting them too or silly words to make them smile! I’m thinking that a set with photos inside would be great too!
