REST, RECOVER AND ENJOY YOUR TRANSITION TO PARENTHOOD

I’m a postpartum doula offering support, both in person and virtually, as well as postpartum planning and rituals to a large area including Wrecsam, Flintshire, Denbighshire, Gwynedd, and Anglesey {Up to 1 hour from LL13}

I believe in ”nurturing the parent” by guiding and supporting them to feel safe, heard and confident. I offer mental, emotional, and physical support to parents through their postpartum journey.

Post partum is equally as important as birth

The transition to motherhood is a huge one, that can be full of highs and lows. It’s a time that is not given enough importance in our society. I am here to walk with you on this journey, guiding you where needed, helping you to trust your own instincts and supporting you along your path.

Thrive not survive

There is a big difference between surviving and thriving in postpartum.

Society makes us feel as though we should be able to do it alone, with no support and carry on as ‘normal’.

That is not how it should be. We need help and support, continuous care for at least the first six weeks while we settle into our new lives.

We need to feel we can ask for help, to have someone to nourish us whilst we nourish our babies. To listen to our worries and our fears, and reassure us that we are doing an amazing job.

We need to feel we can ask for help, to have someone to nourish us whilst we nourish our babies. To listen to our worries and our fears, and reassure us that we are doing a fantastic job.

Having extra support in your postpartum can help you settle into motherhood, to rest and recuperate whilst you bond with your new baby. Postpartum doulas offer an extra pair of hands, support, ears to listen, nourishment and someone to help you set your own boundaries.

Those first six weeks are a sacred time, yet it’s a time that society seems to have forgotten about. You can create that golden month for yourself, with a little help and support.

“During her first month as a new mother inside the red tent, Leah was pampered by her sisters, who barely let her feet touch the earth. Jacob came by every day, carrying freshly dressed birds for her meals. Through the…wall of the tent they relayed the news of their days with a tenderness that warmed those who overheard them. Adah beamed the whole month and saw her daughter step out of the red tent restored and rested.”
