Review || Portfolio Kids Club Bedding Range

I spent a couple of hours last week giving Mr Beastie’s room a tidy up and sort out. I’m not sure he’s actually slept in there since we moved his stuff into his own room, but it’s nice for him to have a space of his own, and he may want to sleep there when the baby is here {though I doubt it, and honestly hope not as I like co-sleeping with him!!}. He did tell me the baby can have his room as he sleeps with me….. haha!

Anyway, I needed something at the window, as when we put the wallpaper up, we had to take down the blind that was left from when Kiki had that room, and part of the fittings got lost. It seemed like a good time to get him some curtains and a new duvet cover to make the room really his own. We were lucky enough to receive a duvet and pair of curtains from the Portfolio Kids Club range.

Beastie loves {and I mean LOVES} dinosaurs right now, so these dinosaur print ones are perfect for him! The duvet and pillow set is fabulous, and one thing I love that every duvet in their range is reversible – so you get two designs in one! He’s pretty pleased with how they look – they’re a great design, and not ‘babyish’ so perfect for younger or older kiddos too.

The curtains make such a difference to the room, we chose the total blackout curtains as the room gets the early morning sun, so I wanted to block it out as much as possible – he doesn’t need waking at 5am if/when he does sleep in there! Also, the blackout curtains offer thermal insulation, meaning less heat is lost out of the window, which also saves energy.

Having had other blackout curtains for the kiddos over the years, which usually consist of a curtain with a blackout lining, I was surprsiesd at how light these were. They are made from a specialised fabric, which makes it much lighter and also really soft to the touch.

Portfolio Kids Club were also kind enough to send Baya a unicorn duvet cover, which fits in perfectly with her room! That girl sure does love unicorns!
