Review || Bumbo Multi-Seat

When the girls were little, we were given a bumbo seat from a friend – it proved to be so incredibly useful! So when I started investigating baby items again this pregnancy, I came across the new version – the Bumbo Multi Seat. The Multi Seat looks fantastic – for one it is only designed for babies who can already sit unaided {personally, we only used our Bumbo Floor Seat with the girls once they could sit unaided as I felt that earlier use would be detrimental to their physical development}.

The Multi Seat can be used on the floor, fastened to an adult chair as a makeshift highchair {fantastic for travelling!} or as a booster, if you remove the pad. Designed to be used from around 6 months {once your little one can sit up by themselves}, it will last right through to them being toddlers – and beyond, as Beastie shows here that even at four years old he can still fit in – he was very proud of this fact haha!

The seat comes in a variety of colours, has a removable tray {that handily stows away at the rear of the seat, has a removable pad to give more space for toddlers and makes for easier cleaning, has built-in straps to attach it to a dining chair AND is easily cleaned! What more could you want?!

I think this is a fantastic item, that will come in really handy for us once Bean is here and big enough to use it. As long as you follow the safety advice, the Bumbo is perfectly safe to use – the basic advice is:

  • your baby is between 6 – 36 months and can sit up unaided
  • your child will have adult supervision whenever they’re in the seat
  • your child is strapped in using the 3-point harness at all times

You can read a great ‘how to use it’ guide to the Bumbo Multi Seat here.
