Gift Idea | Bookabees Subscription

Do your kiddos love to read? Mine all do, and it’s something that I’ve put a big focus on ever since they were all babies. Nourishing a love of books in children is so important I think, the ability to read and the love of reading helps children in so many ways. There is nothing better than getting lost in a good book, and for children, reading even twenty minutes a day exposes them to almost two million words each year! It encourages their creativity, builds their vocabulary and gives them the tools to learn about anything that they are interested in.

We are regular visitors to the library, constantly checking out new books to keep our storytelling needs happy, the kiddos love getting new storybooks to read – as well as picking up fact books or how-to books to inspire them.

We recently discovered Bookabees – a monthly subscription box that delivers a tailor made package of books and activities to your door. You can choose a package to sut you – from 1 book a month to 5, and you can choose to keep the books or send them back for a less expensive subscription. One book a month on a return basis is just £4.99 a month – and you have the option of buying any books you love at half the RRP. If you wish to keep the books you are sent, then a one book subscription would be £9.99 a month up to £29.99 for five books to keep.

Beastie and Baya were thrilled with their boxes when they came through the door. Each box is personalised with their names and filled not only with their books but with some fun educational activities. Beastie especially liked the stickers that were included in his box!

When setting up a subscription, you enter the child’s date of birth as well as their interests, so that each package is tailored to them – the books my two received were absolutely perfect for them.

This would make a fantastic Christmas Gift for a child – I love subscriptions for gifts so that the child has something to look forward to all year long.

If you use my code ‘POLLY’ when you order, they’ll know I sent you along!
