Review  Lucky Gecko Midwinter Box

If you haven’t come across Lucky Gecko yet, and you have tweens, then you really want to check them out. They create educational activity boxes for children aged 8-12, designed to build confidence and encourage curiosity. They currently offer one-off boxes, though are planning on re-instating their subsciription service soon.

They were kind enough to send us their ‘Midwinter Box’ to review. It’s a bumper box created especially for December and covers all three of their categories – Wisdom, Curiosity and Imagination. I was amazed at how much was inside the box, and it kept all of amused for hours!

The box included:

*  Time Shock game

* Magic snow

*  Battery powered tealights to turn into cute snowman Christmas decorations

*  A penguin pull-back racer kit

*  Washable paints, pom poms, felt, glue dots and sharpies

*  Blank gift tags and placemats to decorate

*  Magic tree

Beastie absolutely loved the Time Shock game, he seriously hasn’t stopped playing it since the box arrived. The crafts, while aimed at 8-12 year olds, were perfect for him to do too {with a little help from his sisters}.

We spent a quiet morning, me, Kiki and Beastie when the other two were out at the cinema, playing with magic snow and making the snowmen tealights.
