Organising life with Rattan Direct

Over the last nine months, I’ve been doing lots of redecorating and reorganizing of my home {including our den space and Kiki’s bedroom}, making the space work for us, as well as feel more relaxed and happy now we’re a family of five. We’ve also made quite a few changes to our daily routine, which resulted in me moving things around the house to fit us better. Since we moved our craft space to the den, we also took out the table in the playroom where the girls used to sit to work. Now we tend to gather around the kitchen table as it’s a central zone, meaning I needed to move books, morning books, pens, etc into the kitchen so they were easily accessible.

I had been using an old metal rack, which did the job alright, though wasn’t really perfect and looked a mess if I’m honest! Well, I’ve finally swapped that metal rack for this gorgeous storage rack from Rattan Direct. It is gorgeous, adds character and really transformed the look of my kitchen. Rattan Direct products are generally aimed at the conservatory {they have some gorgeous corner sofas – if only I had a conservatory!}, but it looks fantastic in the house too.

It gives the room a cosier feel, is really sturdy and great quality. With five drawers there is plenty of space to store all of our homeschool bits and bobs – the three younger kids have a drawer each, and we have a couple of drawers for books, extra notebooks and the like. Beastie especially loves having a drawer just for his things! I”m loving the difference it has made – not just in organisation, but in how the room looks and feels.
