Interior Love – laminate floors

I’ve spent endless hours lately pouring over rental properties, as well as creating a pinboard of my dream house! This week I’ve been loving flooring – especially wooden floorboards or a laminate floor that looks almost like the real thing. We put down new laminate flooring in the kitchen and bathroom at the end of last year, and it looks so much like wooden floorboards – a few people have been mistaken!

I love the warmth of the flooring in this image, doesn’t it look so cosy?! Laminate is a great option for an active household as it is so easy to keep clean. It’s also really easy to lay – G put ours down in less than an hour. It is such a durable and stain resistant flooring, that four months on it looks as good as the day we put it down.

Laminate can be made with different finishes for more realistic looks – you can fool people into thinking you have wooden flooring, tile flooring or stone flooring! Laminate is far from boring and comes in so many finishes and colours that you can easily have the floors that you love.

I’ve kinda fallen in love with this rustic laminate flooring, it looks like the floor in an old farmhouse. I’d love to put this down in a kitchen/diner when we move house.

Now, I just need to find us a house to move to so that I can start re-decorating it!
