Wyld Wood Cider

Wyld wood Cider

I’m not much of a drinker, but I do like a glass of cider once in a while. It’s also one of the only drinks that both G and I like. Sparkling or still – I don’t mind, especially if it’s chilled on a hot sunny day! Given that I’m pregnant and not drinking for a few months, when the lovely folk at Westons sent us a box full of their delicious cider’s the other week, G’s eyes lit up!

They sent us some bottles of fizzy cider as well as a few boxes of still cider, which is our favourite. I love the fact that the boxes have a tap, so you can keep them in the fridge and pour a glass out when you fancy one. Westons have been producing organic cider for over 15 years now. The Wyld Wood range comes from the very heart of their values and respect for nature and wildlife. Their traditional premium cider is produced from fruit sourced in Hereforshire’s organic orchards. Matured in old oak vats, Wyld Wood cider has a distinct, natural taste that’s a refreshing change from the sugar-pumped usual suspects lining the alcohol aisle in supermarkets.

We took a box with us to Camp Bestival, perfect as you’re not allowed glass bottles on site. It proved the perfect refreshement at the end of a hectic day for Papa, it also accompanies BBQ food perfectly :D I did have to have a cheeky sip just to remind myself quite how tasty it is! Roll on Christmas so I can have a glass….

Wyld Wood is the official cider of Jamie Oliver and Alex James’ Big Feastival, the family-friendly foodie and musical festival for 15,000 in the Cotswolds, for the second year running . The “Feastival” runs from the 29th – 31st August and the Wyld Wood Cider Bar is located within a tepee, letting you take a break from the sun (hopefully) with a lovely glass of Wyld Wood.

I’m intrigued by the recipes on their website for cooking with the cider – think that we’ll have to be trying a few out soon!
