A few snapshots of life around here lately. We haven’t done anything special, just pottering around as usual. Last week when the weather was good, the little two spent most days down the garden playing in the mud kitchen. Which meant they probably had more baths last week then they have the rest of the year ha! We’re starting to reap the rewards from our veggie patch… I just wish it was bigger and I’d had more energy this year to plant more! Still we have strawberries, salad, courgettes already..

We’ve spent a few evenings enjoying the sun in the garden, though we seem to have gone back to rain this week. Boo – please someone bring back my sunshine. Papa went off to a festival this pack weekend with the boys, so it was just the kiddos and I for a few days. We went to a history fair at the museum on Saturday morning – where Kiki and Baya had their faces painted. Sunday we took the Rainbows out for the day and got very {very very} wet!

I don’t have much planned this week… Papa is home for a few days before he heads of to another festival this weekend – this time to work. I’m hoping to get the baby’s space painted – figured I should do it now while I can still get up a ladder {and I’m impatient to be ready!}. I was hoping the weather will pick up so we can go to the pick-your-own farm one day – though it’s looking unlikely at the minute.

I’m trying to spread out what we do each day as I’m waking up early, and not sleeping great anyway so I’m feeling pretty exhausted. Seems my body is trying to prepare me for life with a newborn – but I’d much rather take the sleep while I can thank you very much!

What do you have planned this week?

My bedroom looks like that most of the time, I am good at sorting out to the point where it looks worse than before I started, then lose interest…. I remember the sleeplessness of late pregnancy well, and willing myself to sleep better, but failing!

Gorgeous photos – love the one of your elder daughter at the table with the kitten on her lap, it reminded me of my daughter :)

Oh I love a good mud kitchen, almost as I love lazy evenings in the garden. I want the sun back too.

I really need to do another good sort out and finally get round to hanging the pictures that have been lying on the floor. I hope you manage to get your painting done and get some rest x

I love your mud kitchen. I really want one in our garden but it’s all modern with no place for mud. Any tips?

Now being able to sleep in pregnancy can be so frustrating – especially in the late stage when you know you have many sleepless nights yet to come. I hope you do get some rest – it is very difficult for many people in this heat I think x

Mudpies are fabulous and your kitten is just lovely – I think black and white cats are the BEST :)

I’ve been sorting Kaycee and Ella’s bedroom out today. It took me four hours! I removed 4 carrier bags of rubbish, 3 carrier bags of recycling rubbish and a huge basket of washing. I thought I was doing really well keeping up with the laundry all week but it turns out they’ve just not been putting their clothes to the wash!

I love the colour of your nail varnish. It is amazing what our bodies tell us to do isn’t it xx
