Blogging and Friendship
It’s
Fritha messaged me awhile ago, about a project Argento were running – a ‘friend it forward’ campaign. Fritha picked me to send her friendship bracelet too :)
I can’t remember quite how/when Fritha and I first ‘met’/ I know it was on Twitter, and around two and a half years ago {that I know because she was expecting the lovely Wilf at the time!} We started chatting, about life, and motherhood, and goondess knows what else. The rest, as they say, is history… I guestposted on Fritha’s blog, she guestposted on mine {I think this is some kind of blogger friendship rite of passage!!} and ever since we’ve been friends.
I love Fritha… our attitudes to motherhood match up, as does our outlook on life, she’s a great person to chat to, and has cheered me up on many occasion. I feel lucky to call her a friend {and cannot wait for Blogtacular so we can finally meet in person!!}. Plus she has amazing taste – I could quite happily buy every. single. thing in her shop! {I love this top that I did buy}
Friendship keeps me going. I still chat to my best friend from when I was 7. She was the person who looked after me when I started a new school, showed me around, played with me and 25 years later we are still great friends. My other best friend is the first person that I met when we moved here to Wrexham. Miss Lola, who was only 1, walked up to this stranger sitting in a park, and started riffling through her handbag – thankfully we’ve been friends ever since!!
As a part of this ‘friend it forward’ campaign I’m nominating three more lovely bloggers to share their stories of blogger friendships with us:
Beth from Deer Little Fawn – she’s one of the loveliest bloggers out there, hers was one of the very first blogs I started reading, and one of my first blogger friends.
Emma from Emma Deer – a beautiful, super kind lady with a fabulous blog that I’m thrilled to call a friend and
Talie from Thistledown Dreamer – someone I’ve known online since before my blogging days, though we’ve never met, who’s always been there when I’ve needed a friend.
That was so hard to nominate three! So many lovely ladies I have as friends {Lauren, Kelly, Emily, Rose… I could go on all day!}
If you want to play along, tweet/facebook/instagram your post with the #frienditforward hastag -and be sure to leave me a link – I’d love to read your posts!
Argento sent Fritha and I a friendship bracelet for writing this post – but all words and thoughts are mine.
