Review || A spring refresh with Vertbaudet

I’m pretty convinced my kiddos never stop growing – sometimes seemingly overnight. It feels like I’m constantly having to buy someone new clothes every other week – and for a Mama who hates having to shop that’s not something she wants to do! I’m sure there was a time when I loved shopping – most likely pre-children when I had the time and money to wander around the shops alone and try things on. These days, shopping entails dragging several children around the shops, trying to find the things that we need and don’t cost the earth, while the kiddos are all badgering me to buy everything they see.

Throw in pregnancy, and the idea of having to trawl the shops is even less appealing. So when we were offered the chance to review some pieces from the Vertbaudet new collection, I had the biggest smile. I’ve had kiddos clothing from Vertbaudet in the past, and have always been impressed at the quality and the value for money. They have some fantastic pieces for kids, from basics to more eye-catching pieces, it is easy to clothe your kiddos from head to toe.

VVertbaudet also have a fantastic maternity range AND the most gorgeous homeware collection! You can see all items in their new collection here – it took me a loooong time to pick out our very favourites, but I’m super happy with the pieces that we choose. I got a mixture of clothes for the kiddos, a couple of pieces for our home AND a little something for me!

The first couple of pieces I choose were for the baby. I picked up these two sweet babygrows in 1-month size {I didn’t want to go for any smaller as none of my babies have ever been very little!}. We’ve been given so many clothes for Bean I thought it would be nice to have a couple of new outfits for him too.  Also choose an activity mat, in the most gorgeous mint green. It is so thick and cushioned, and super soft too – it will be a perfect place for Bean to have a wriggle. It also has a few toys attached to keep baby entertained – a rabbit with 3-D ears, a cloud wita h rattle, a crinkly book with 4 printed pages, and a little cat wita h bell.

For my Beastie boy, we picked him up a couple of pairs of these fleece trousers – a pair in blue and a pair in black. They’re soft and comfy for everyday wear, the fabric is nice and thick so should withstand lots of wear and tear {vital with little ones} and fantastic value for money. Beastie doesn’t like trousers that are too tight or restrictive – they’ve gotta be good for running around and climbing and these are perfect. To pair with the trousers, we also got a dinosaur t-shirt and a funky printed zip-up hoodie.

Baya was in need of  a spring jacket, having finally outgrown her others {she’s such a dink she’s been wearing them for a couple of years!} She fell in love with this biker-style jacket as soon as she saw it, and I don’t think she’s taken it off since it arrived! My favourite thing about it is that is machine washable! Such a Mum thing!

I had a little browse through their maternity section and decided to pick myself up a pair of maternity jeans. I went for these skinny ankle length jeans, and they look fab. I don’t tend to buy maternity pieces but so glad I got these. The over the bump band is super comfortable and it is nice having a pair of jeans that fit me!

Lastly, I picked a couple of pieces of homeware for our living room. Since putting the TV on the wall I’d been wanting to frame it so it didn’t look so out of place. I filled two sides with some framed pictures, but we had a big space to one side left. I stumbled across this gorgeous rope swing shelf and new it would be absolutely perfect for the space. It looks so good in the living room, and it’s the perfect piece to display a few of my treasures. I also added this pretty tassel basket to my collection as you can never have too many baskets right?! This one is now home to a new plant I picked up last week {becuase you also can’t have too many plants!}
