Three Good Things

Morning, it’s six thirty, and everyone else is asleep. I’m sitting in my new room, enjoying the morning peace with a cup of tea before the day starts and the peace has gone! It’s back to normal routine for us after the summer today, I love this time of year when it feels another fresh start.  It’s been a good summer, actually the best summer, now I’m ready to get my head back into real life mode!

Here are my #threegoodthings

* MY SPACE ~ I’ll share photos soon, once it’s all finished, but we spent last week moving my bedroom downstairs into what was our den. We figured out one of the reasons I wasn’t sleeping was the room, and since I’ve moved I have slept SO much better. We have a bed to make still, a mattress to buy  {we’ve been sleeping on an airbed for weeks}, and new curtains to arrive, but the room is coming together and looking amazing. It feels so chilled and relaxing in there, and a really nice place to spend time. Plus I get my own personal en suite now!

* APOLOGISING ~ all Mama’s know thta from time to time we loose our tempers. We get stressed, life is hectic, tempers get frayed. I’m grateful though, that when I do, I say I’m sorry. I’ll talk to the kiddos, and say why I felt how I did, and why I got cross, and what I should have done. It’s importnat for them to see that adults make mistakes BUT what is important is being able to say sorry and mean it.

* FAMILY TIME ~ while all of us are here most of the time, it’s good to have some dedicated family time. Saturday night saw the six of us sitting down to play a few board games. THere were arguments and raised voices, a little bit of stress but a whole lot of fun!
