That was Christmas!

A week on, I thought I ought to share a couple of Christmas photos before the New Year arrives. The kids were as excited as ever for Christmas this year, me not so. Somehow, despite everything, I pulled it off, everything got bought/wrapped/organised… that’s Mama’s for you – no matter what shit life throws your way, you just keep on going and get everything done.

Their dad came back to spend Christmas with us, which was weird, but probably good for them, despite a few hiccups. The kiddos all had a blast, Beastie really loved the gift opening this time! Though he wanted to play with each toy as he opened it! Everyone must have been good this year, as they all got the things they asked for – Baya a bike {and lots of Pikachu goodies!}, Kiki an Instax Camera, some Zoella stuff and henna, Lola got a kindle and a whole pile of books and Beastie got playdoh and Duplo {so much Duplo that when he opened the last one he said “Not again!!!”}.

I ordered my own gifts this year, meaning I got the things I wanted too. Yay! Mainly a whole heap of books, a rock salt oil burner and the funkiest yoga leggings ever {that I may or may not have lived in ever since….}

Christmas was pretty low key, and we’ve had a quiet-ish week since, just the kiddos and me… recalibrating, resting, planning, relaxing and having fun… I’m SO ready for 2017 now!
