Life, Lately
Seems
We had a fun time at a pizza making session last week, held at our local Frankie and Bennies, I organised a trip from our home ed group. It was a fun morning, the kiddos loved making their own pizzas {and that’s my cheese-less one up there!} and especially loved eating them! They’re already asking when we can do it again!
Miss Baya was excited to get back off holidays to find this new horse Trunki waiting for her, ready for our next trip away! For a horse crazy girl it’s perfect.
We came home from holiday to find our cat Mr Bear wasn’t waiting for us. It’s totally out of character for him to wander off, and having lost two cats this year already I didn’t expect to see him again. A whole week after he was last seen, he reappeared! Just as I was about to start the whole bedtime thing on Friday, there he was, meowing to come in, looking skinnier than before and very hungry! We’re all over the moon he came home, there were more than a few tears shed over him while he was missing.
Saturday Papa and I found ourselves with a couple of hours of child-free time – not sure if that’s happened at all in the last few years! With Lola at a history group, and Baya and Kiki at art club we managed a little shopping before having a sneaky, peaceful lunch in a cafe! Bliss – and it looks like we might get the same this Saturday morning! Making the most of it before there’s a baby in tow…
I’ve had my hot glue gun out for the first time in forever, getting a little crafty with a project for the baby’s room! I haven’t had much time or inclination to get crafty for so long, so it feels good to get glue on my fingers again!
What have you been up to this past week?

October 15, 2014 at 10:01I don’t know where you get your energy lady! I think I was knackered by the time I was 30 wks with Rose. I did have bags of energy once she was born though, that I do remember. I never once regretted having a fourth. Getting excited for you Polly :)
So glad Mr Bear turned up! We’ve had mogs go off to a few days and then reappear. Worrying times but such a relief when they return. Just wish they could talk so they could tell us where they’ve been ;)

October 15, 2014 at 11:32That all sounds like fun. I was in London on Monday visiting my daughter at Uni. I stayed over and in the morning had a lovely hour before my train having a coffee outside and reading the paper. Bliss!

October 15, 2014 at 14:03Oooooh a glue gun! I don’t know why but I have never owned a glue gun but they keep making appearances in blogs I read and I’m thinking I now need one! Glad your cat returned home too! x

October 15, 2014 at 20:05Well done on getting the glue gun out (at first I thought it was a drill!). Either way you are amazing – you have so much energy!!

October 16, 2014 at 10:50That pizza looks ace, and I didn’t even notice it didn’t have cheese on it at first! I love our child-free mornings on a Saturday – we get to go to the shops and have coffee, and get all those annoying little errands out of the way in time for a trip to the park in the afternoon. Much better than having to drag them round the shops with us!
PS You should be putting your feet up more – you’re always on the go!
