Nutribuddy Breakfast Shake – first impressions!

nutribuddy-breakfast-shake-1

In the last year, since going vegan, I’ve really cleaned up my diet. Gone are the endless rounds of toast, packets of biscuits and countless chocolate bars. Istead I have porridge, lots of fruit and veggies and fruit-based energy bars when I need a sweet treat.

I usually work out first thing in the morning, so by the time I get to have breakfast I am starving and need a BIG breakfast. I pretty much always have porridge {or overnight oats in the summer}, with a scoop of protein powder and some mashed banana mixed in, and topped with berries and seeds.

In an attempt to mix it up a little, for the next two weeks I’m going to be trying out Nutribuddy Breakfast shakes*. They come in FOUR flavours – Naked, Chocolate Brownie, Vanilla and Strawberry. I decided ot go for the chocolate brownie flavour, because, well CHOCOLATE for breakfast?!

Ordering was straightforward, you choose your flavour, how much you need {14-days (£14.99), 28-days (£24.86) or 56 days (£39.92)} and your shaker colour. You can also get the mix in a reusable glass storage jar.

So what is it?

Nutribuddy* is a mix of organic oats, chia seeds and coconut. The chocolate brownie version also has organic flaxseeds, organic cocoa powder and stevia. To make, you mix three scoops of powder, add the milk of your choice and shake!

I’m looking forward to trying it out and seeing if it fills me up enough after a morning workout. It looks like a great option for those mornings when I’m in a hurry and need to grab something quick for breakfast. The shakes are also healthy, high in protein, low in fat, vegan-friendly, soy-free, sugar-free organic, and gluten-free. Phew!

Check back in two weeks for my full review!
