Thinking about Vegas with the kiddos
Travelling
Circus Circus – this seems out the way a little to the rest of the action on the strip, but because of the circus theme, seems like the kids would enjoy it the best. I think they would enjoy the circus activities as well as the rides. I still think it seems a little dirty compared to some of the newer Las Vegas hotels such as the Cosmopolitan.
Excalibur – the building itself looks amazing from the 300+ photos that I have seen of the hotel, looking like a Disney-esque medieval castle and it seems like there is plenty for the kids to do inside like the old-school grabber games in the kids arcade – and I’m sure they would like to see the jousting with knights on horseback.
New York New York – from what I have read, this is one of the friendliest hotels for those with children and the outside of the hotel looks very cool. I’ve always liked New York, so experiencing a little bit of New York while also being in Las Vegas appeals to me – and it seems like it’s in one of the busier places of the strip with plenty of kid friendly activities close by like M&M’s World.
Treasure Island – although it seems it’s not as kid-centric as it used to be, Treasure Island seems like a really fun place because of the pirate theme and it seems like a huge resort with loads of things for the kids to do.
Mirage – this is actually next door to Treasure Island and has a volcano that erupts each night – I’m sure that will be fun for the family on at least one occasion. The secret garden and dolphin habitat – as well as white lions and tigers seem like they would be an amazing thing to visit. There’s also an aquarium filled with tropical fish that I’d like to see. I think this one is my favourite.
Have you taken your kids to Vegas? Would love to hear where you stayed!
