Life, lately

Well, hi there November! I’m not sure where you snuck up from – it was only yesterday I was saying the same thing about October ha! This past month been busy and stressful and life changing. The biggest change last month was Lola starting school. She’s only done one week so far, as last week was half term. She had a great first week, though it was exhausting for her as there was so much new stuff to take in, and exhausting for me as getting up at half past six is not my idea of fun!

It was really odd not having her home in the day times, even her sisters missed her and were waiting by the door each afternoon when she came home! After a funny few weeks, that were something of a twilight zone, that week gave me and the other kiddos a good chance to re-jig our daily routines, figuring out new patterns with just the three at home.

The girls have been playing dolls with Beastie after he found their box of varying monster high/sindy/barbie type dolls. They were feeling a bit neglected so sure they’re happy to be getting some love – and this new addition from the new series of Project Mc². Kiki is a huge fan of the show, and I love that the characters are such fab role models for girls too.

Present over perfect. This book has been on my wishlist for a while, then last week I saw a friend share that she was reading it, and I felt the urge to order it. Thanks to the wonder of Amazon Prime it arrived the next day, and I got stuck in. It’s an amazing book, and just what i needed right now. Love that each chapter is independent of each other, and it is so inspiring, encouraging and honest.

We took a trip out to Conwy Castle last week, stopped on the way home for the kiddos to have a play on a park, this little man just wanted a cwtch in the car. {I think that’s one of my favourite welsh words ever!}

A little retail therapy never hurts right?! This new Radley bag helped cheer me up a little last week!

Ah autumn… I love this time of year, the world is full of such beautiful colours right now. Beastie is loving running around in piles of crunchy autumn leaves too!

I joined in with some art time with my little three a couple of weeks ago, and remembered how much I love creating. There was a time I used to paint every day, and I realised how much I have missed it. Not sure when or why I stopped, self-doubt and life getting in the way. I painted a mandala last week to brighten my mantle up over the winter, and have started another painting. Feels good to do something I love, something that is fun, and relaxing and therapeutic for me.
