When I was a teenager and had just moved schools, one of the things I quickly realised was that what was the ‘correct’ shops carrier bag at my old school, was totally not the right one at my new school. Everyone carried their folders in a River Island bag. If you didn’t, well, you were obviously not cool enough or in with the popular kids. Looking back it’s bonkers isn’t it? That so much weight was put into a carrier bag!

Even as grown ups we do it, you feel far classier using a bag from a designer store than the pound shop! Now that there is a 5p levy on carrier bags, people are increasing opting to use reusable carrier bags, giving brands a fantastic opportunity to make a more lasting impression.
