Review | The Gloriumptious Worlds of Roald Dahl

We love Roald Dahl stories here, I remember reading them when I was little and it has been lovely sharing his stories with my kiddos. The Roald Dahl Estate have just authorised this new book – ‘The Gloriumptious Worlds of Roald Dahl’ to coincide with Roald Dahl day today, on what would have been his 100th birthday.

We’ve read the stories and watched the movies, so my girls loved this book. Set out as a scrapbook, it gives an insight into all of his books.  You can discover where Oompa-Loompas come from, learn how to be a Twit and so much more. It’s full of facts and characters from all of his stories, and also gives an insight into his mind.

There are some fascinating facts and anecdotes scattered throughout, as well as background stories for some of his books such as James & The Giant Peach.  It’s a book that will get read over and over again, and will be enjoyed by grown-ups as much as children.
