Celebrating Fathers Day with Matalan

It’s almost Fathers Day and the kids and I have been trying to come up with some gift ideas. G isn’t easy to buy for as he’s really picky on what he likes, and I’d rather buy him something he’ll use/like than all the novelty items you get in the shops round about now. There are only so many ‘Number 1 Dad’ t-shirts or keyrings a man needs!!

Matalan got in touch with me the other week, and asked if we’d like to take a look in store at some of their great Fathers Day gift ideas for G. They’ve put some great gift ideas together that will suit every type of dad. G fits into their ‘Chilled Dad’ category pretty well – shorts and sunnies, BBQ-ing in the evenings, enjoying the summer weather – a laid back, chilled out Papa.

I took Kiki and Baya into our local Matalan to have a look and see what they wanted to pick up for their Dad for Fathers Day. They took a LONG time deciding, but in the end they opted for a new pair of shorts and a couple of vest tops. G likes to wear shorts all summer long, even if the summer sun is hiding, and the girls remembered that he’d mentioned wanting some new vests for the summer too.

We had a few pennies left, so Kiki found a new pint glass {perfect for those pints in the summer sun whilst BBQ-ing} and a diablo which will keep him busy all summer long ;)
