What’s on the box – what’s on my watch-list

Now it’s light a little later and it’s not quite so cold {apart from yesterday when we had hail and SNOW!!}, I’ve not been tucking myself up in bed with a hot water bottle as soon as the kiddos are all in bed! Meaning I have a little bit of time in an evening for some grown-up TV – as opposed to watching whatever the kiddos choose. I’ve been browsing Netflix for some new show ideas, a show or two are as much as I can manage in an evening and I’m finding it less of a commitment than a movie as if I’m exhausted I can wathc a half hour show and then go to bed.

Here are a few of the shows I’ve been watching or have added to my watch list

1| Jane the Virgin – a Netflix Original, starring Gina Rodriguez as Jane Villaneuva who had vowed to remain chaste until she got married -then found herself pregnant due to a medical slip-up. Perfectly camp and quirky – and oh so funny!

2| Absolutely Fabulous – I loved this so much as a teenager. and not having seen it for years was so excited to see it was on Netflix! Also fun to realise I can still quote most episodes word-for-word!!

3| The Grand Budapest Hotel – somehow I’ve managed to miss seeing this until now – this is on my list to watch on one of those nights I get Beastie to bed early{ish}

4| Love in a Cold Climate – I think I saw the first episode of this when it was originally aired, but never the second – so it’s time to rectify that.

5| The Duchess – I read the book a couple of years ago, and stumbled across this last week, I do love a bit of historical drama!

What have you been watching recently?

I’m a member of the Netflix Stream Team, and receive a complimentary Netflix subscription. I really do love all these shows/movies though!

    Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and suiprisrngly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. Its very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.
