I love to shop and that hasn’t changed since having children. It does get a bit trickier with kids, though. They aren’t as good at the whole browsing thing and often get bored. Can’t think why… The boredom means playing up and then it just becomes a bit of a fiasco. I don’t always shop online as you need to be quite organised to do it. But I love to do it when I am organised enough! It is such a big help when you’ve got children.

It Saves You Time

When you go to the supermarket, you need to write a bit of a list before hand. Then you have to drive to the shop, do the shop, pack the bags, drive back and then unpack the bags. When you shop online, groceries or not, you can go through the list as you are adding things to your virtual trolley. You do still have to unpack it when it arrives, but you don’t need to stand in a queue or pack the bags. That is pretty much winning at life isn’t it?

You Aren’t Limited By Choice

It will depend on where you live but for a lot of people; they can’t get everything they want in one place. It will involve a bus ride, walk or drive to somewhere else. Then again to somewhere else. This just wastes time; see my first point. When you shop online, you can go to all of the ‘shops’ but the only time it takes is another click of a button. You can get pretty much anything online these days. There are even online butchers and pharmacies! You aren’t limited at all.

It Saves Money

When you shop online, there are a lot of coupons or discount codes available. Doing a food shop online is one of the big ones for discounts. For your first grocery shop with a supermarket, they will offer you a percentage off or money off. It can be a pretty good saving too. Try this with all of the supermarkets that deliver and think of all of those savings. When it is things you need to buy; why pay more?

You Aren’t Pressured by Time

With kids around, one will want the loo; one might need a nappy change and one might need feeding. Sometimes these things are synchronised. Sometimes these things aren’t. When you are out at the actual shops, it can be hard to take your time to browse or even try clothes on. I am always thinking of timings of things. Like I need to be back by a certain time to start dinner. Or I need to be back by a certain time so they can have their nap time. If you’re online, you can stop and start as much as you like. Or take your time leisurely browsing if you have the time to do so.

Do you do your shopping online much? I think it is so useful and easy to do!
