Review | Cheerz Polaroid Style Prints and Magnets

I take a lot of photos. A ridiculous amount. It’s lovely to have so many memories to look back on, but I am awful at actually ever getting any photos printed out. When I was pregnant with Baya, I ordered a crazy amount of photos, organised my albums and vowed to keep on top of it. Needless to say, I haven’t added more since {in seven years – that’s awful!}. I have a hard drive full of albums – from the ones I share on my social media, to the outtakes that never see the light of day. Looking through them on my laptop isn’t the same as flicking through an album though, or having them dotted around the house.

So when Cheerz got in touch recently and asked if I’d like to review their online photo printing service, I, of course, said yes. After a long browse through their website, where I found you could order photos as stickers, magnets , photo strips, photo books, posters and photo boxes, I opted to order a set of magnets and the Cheerz Box.

The Cheerz Box costs just £13 for 30 polaroid style photos, complete with storage box. The only hard part is picking which 30 photos to order! I decided to pick 30 of my favourite Instagram photos of our little family. I used to have a polaroid camera when I was little and love the look of the retro prints – though this is a far more affordable option than buying the film!

I actually put the Cheerz app onto my phone, connected it to my Instagram account and selected the photos that I wanted to order. You can edit the photos via the app if you wish, as well as adding coloured borders or text too. I also picked 9 further photos to have printed on some magnets. Once I’d ordered, the prints were on my doorstep within a week – which I thought was a pretty speedy service.

The prints themselves are amazing quality – they look fantastic, and the photo paper they are printed on is really sturdy. I’m so pleased with how great they look. I’ve started a little gallery wall in the downstairs hallway, and it looks great. It’s so nice to have some up-to-date family photos up, and I’m already planning to order some more and extend the gallery! the magnets are equally lovely, nice and thick and the photo quality of them is great. They’re currently brightening up my fridge freezer and making me smile in the mornings when I get the milk for my first cup of coffee!

Great as digital photography is, I sometimes miss the days when we had film cameras, and had to choose what to photograph wisely, as you only got 24 pictures, which you didn’t get to see until your pics actually came back! Like you, we have a huge backlog of unprinted photos; it is important to get them printed for future generations as technology changes so fast, and the way we currently store our precious pics on computers and memory cards and stuff could become obsolete overnight.

The photos look great! You’ll have to write little captions below the polaroid style pics :)
