Okido – A kids magazine worth subscribing to
When I was little, I used to L.O.V.E getting magazines… I don’t know what it was about them that used to enchant me so. From comics as a little kid, to Just Seventeen when I was just a teenager, to Marie Clare and Vogue, and still now with The Simple Things and Mollie Makes. My girls are no different and love getting a magazine. From a Mama’s point of view, a lot of the magazines on the market for kids aren’t especially great and they cost a fortune. So magazines are a rare treat in my house {unless they buy them with their own money}.
We’ve just come across Okido Magazine, an arts and science magazine aimed at 3-8 year olds. It’s designed to engage young children in scientific discovery in the most fun and creative way. My girls love the bright, bold colours and the engaing activities. I love that it encourages them to do, that it is packed full of cartoons, cut out and makes, recipes and doodles. It entertains them for hours and you know that they’ve benefited from reading it. I could quite happily sit and flick through it myself!
A subscription to Okido magazine is a great gift to give at Christmas. All kiddos love getting post, and getting a copy of this great magazine through their letter box every other month for a whole year is bound to win you some brownie points!!
