Christmas Gift Guide – Babies & Toddlers
I’ll be sharing a Christmas gift guide each day this week, starting off today with ideas for babies and toddlers. I think they’re a really fun age to buy for – Beastie is on the verge of being a toddler, and it’s really great fun shopping for him this year! He’s having a wheely bug as his main gift {don’t tell him!}. Here are a few of my favourite gifts to buy for babies, and then below for toddlers.
MIFFY
RAINBOW STACKER // RATTLE // PEEK A BOO BALL // PLAY GYM
I tend to go for classic, wooden toys for babies. Things that are simple, look good and are robust. This mobile is perfect for a tiny baby, they can enjoy it over their cot or even hung over a bouncy chair to occupy them in the day time. The Miffy night light is a perfect gift to go in their nursery – it will last them years, and makes for a nice, low light for those middle of the night feeds! Beastie had a play gym similar to this and spent hours under it. The wooden peek-a-boo ball, rattle and phone are great first toys for slightly bigger babies who can hold onto toys. Finally, the stacking pyramid is great for once baby can sit up to play.
WHEELY BUG // BOOK SUBSCRIPTION // WALKER // BUBBLE LAMP // TEEPEE // PULL ALONG DOG
DOLLS HOUSE // DOLLS PRAM // PLAY KITCHEN // ACTIVITY CUBE // PIRATE SHIP
Once your baby is on the move, there are so many great toy ideas. A play kitchen is always popular – ours has lasted years, and the girls still play with it nd now Beastie thinks it’s great fun too! We have one of these walkers ready for his 1st birthday, I hope he loves it! A dolls house and pram are a great way to introduce some imaginative play for boys as well as girls. A wheely bug makes a great first ride on, and this wooden activity cube will entertain them for hours. This bright, bubble lamp is a great gift if they don’t like going to sleep in the dark now and the soft Pirates Ship is a fantastic toy! Toddlers love books – both to read themselves and to listen too… this book subscription is a great gift that will last all year, and why not buy them a teepee for the bedroom or playroom to turn into a book den?
