A few sneak peaks into our new home

garden

We’ve been in our new house for 3 weeks already. We’re settling in, making the place into our home and finding new rhythms. We’re loving the space this house has given us – as there are so many of us it’s nice to have space to spread out and do our own thing without being on top of each other all day long. I’m also really loving how much light there is here. Our old house was very dark, with not much natural light especially in the living space. This house is the total opposite- lots of windows and natural light, and large, spacious airy rooms. It’s perfect.

We’re mostly unpacked, things are finding homes, pictures going up on the walls, books on shelves. here are a few sneak peaks around the place – I’ll be doing a ‘proper’ home tour once the place is all in order.

living room

Living room – loving my new sofas so much!

playroom sofa

One end of the playroom has one of our old sofas in – perfect for Mama to sit on whilst the littlies are playing

playroom

I’m so thankful to have a playroom at last – having space for all the toys is fantastic {plus the girls love that there is room in here to practise their gymnastics!}

work nook

We created a little work area in the playroom – perfect for Lola to hide away when she’s doing her school work in a morning {the little girls usually sit at the kitchen table where I can help as I’m pottering around}

bedroom

My bedroom – light and free of clutter at long last! I’ve been sleeping well.

    So pleased you are finally more settled…house looks lovely and so spacious! Great that you have a play room too- that’s my hope one day as it makes all the difference to a home and your grown up space if all the toys (and mess) can be shut away behind a closed door at the end of the day xx
