What I never told my dad….

Dad’s aren’t always the easiest to talk to. It tends to be our Mum’s that we confide in, share our secrets and discuss our hopes and dreams. We all have things that we wish we could tell our Dads, maybe something that you really loved about them, or something you were to scared to tell them. Maybe you wish you had spent more time with them, or you need to confess to pinching money from their trouser pockets at night….

For Fathers Day, The Book of Everyone have created a great project – ‘What I Never Told My Dad‘, which explores the relationship that we have with our Fathers. They have created a postcard template, that you can decorate as you like, and write what you would like to tell your Dad, and upload to their site – all anonymously! What a great idea… I’ve been loving reading through some of the submissions.

What is it that you never told your Dad? Perhaps you could slip it inside a copy of the Book of Dad for his Fathers Day gift this year?!

There are many many things I wish I had told my dad. He died 11 years ago when I was 14. I try and say them to him in the hope he hears them anyway. I think people who still have their dads should tell them the things they want to say while they can, and hug their daddy’s tight this Father’s Day.
