TV for family time
Lazy Sunday mornings or a wet, cold evening, there’s nothing quite like all six of us snuggling up together on the sofa’s and watching a movie or some cartoons together. I do keep limits on screen time for the kiddos, but there is nothing wrong with an hour or two of TV here and there. Here is some of what we’ve been watching together lately
Lemony Snicket: A Series of Unfortunate Events
I don’t know how we’d managed to not watch this before, but it was a great film that all of us enjoyed. Jim Carrey as Count Olaf is fantastic and it kept us captivated until the end. Always a winner if it appeals to the 12 year old as well as the 6 year old!
The Adventures of Puss in Boots
The little two girls have really enjoyed this – Mama just wishes it was Antonio Banderas doing Puss’ voice still ;)
Adventure Time
We’re all big big fans of this fab cartoon. It’s a frequent pick on a weekend morning. That catchy theme tune is permently stuck in my head
Rugrats
I remember watching this when I was rpobably far too big to be watching it {after school when I should have been doing homework!}… still kinda like it though and so do the girls
Mia and Me
The girls have just discovered this, the story of Mia who gets plugged into a fairy tale and has to save a race of unicorns. Bright and colourful, they love it!
Powerpuff Girls
Another firm favourite with all of us, it’s nice to have cartoons that the girls like and don’t drive Mama and Papa crazy!
