Rug Love

Having lived in rental houses all of my adult life, rugs become really important. When you don’t have a say in the colour of the carpets, or replace old, worn out ones, rugs are your best friend! A large rug in the centre of the room can make the room feel cosier and it can hide stains. A few rugs layered can hide that ugly coloured carpet entirey.

Even if you’re not renting, rugs are a great way to add a pop of colour to a room, to bring in some warmth if you have wooden floors and are a cheaper way of changing up a room than replacing the carpet whenever you get bored with your decor and colour scheme!

As we get ready to move house, I’ve been stocking up on a few pieces I want need. Even though our house will have new carpets throughout {and pretty nice grey ones}, I do love me a rug. Beacuse I don’t drive, and would probably struggle to carry a rug home from the shops whilst pushing the pram, I’ve been looking at the RugMountain.co.uk, they have a huge range of rugs to pick from, I’m *trying* to hold off ordering until we’ve moved {less things to pack!}.

I’m tempted by this lovely sheepskin rug, our playroom will have vinyl flooring, which whilst perfect for cleaning up the kiddos messes, is perhaps a little chilly for the baby to sit and play on, so a nice cosy rug would be perfect, especially for in front of the fire come the winter time.

They have some fab kids rugs too – I’m thinking this Peaceful Crossings rug would be great for Vega in a year or so when he wants to play cars, and Baya is very much in love with this Panda rug!
