Let’s get away….

These cold January days always leave me yearning to travel, to escape the seemingly constant rain here in North Wales and head to sunnier skies. A city break or even a week on a sandy beach sounds just about perfect right now. We’re having a week away in March but just at a UK holiday resort. With a newborn I don’t think we’ll be going far for a while!

I posted last year about Amadeus.net – a great site where you can create and share plans for your holidays, including checking for the cheapest flights and getting weather reports for your chosen destination using this tools section of the site.

I’ve been day-dreaming on their whilst sat nursing Vega and created a new ‘plan’ – Sunny Beach Vacation alongside my previous ‘New York City in Winter’ plan. There are so many places I’d like to visit and take the kiddos too… for now I’ll have to make do with planning dream holidays!

Another great feature of this site is that you can share the plans you create with friends or family – making it an easy way to plan trips with those you are travelling with. One thing that I think would be great to see on the site, is a tool that allows you to compare hotel costs – in the same way you can see when a flight is cheapest, being able to see when the hotel rooms are cheaper would be really useful.
