Maternity Series – Week 37

maternity series week thirty seven

Quite honestly, I’ve had enough of being pregnant. I’m tired and emotional. We went out for lunch yesterday, and you can see EVERYONE looking at me like this baby’s about to pop out any second ha! I feel {and may actually do} like staying home, shutting the door, lighting a fire, switching off my phone and just hiding away until he arrives. I don’t have the patience to have conversations with people, or to have everyone asking ‘how much longer’ so hibernating for a week or two, with only the four people who actually matter sounds like the perfect plan!

All is good though really, bump is measuring up perfectly to my dates, he’s sitting very low down, still really wriggly. All’s set for the homebirth, and I have everything {bar baby} that I need. I’ve slept really well the last couple of days, but am still so tired… trying to give in and let my body get the rest it needs before I have a newborn to look after. We don’t have much to do the next few weeks, just cosy up and wait for Beastie to arrive.

Pretty sure I’ve had a total sense of humour failure…. time for some spicy foods, pineapple and raspberry leaf tea!

Ah I remember feeling exactly like this the week before I had baby E. It is exhausting! Your plan to hibernate sounds like a good one. You do look lovely though – what a gorgeous bump. You’re actually making me almost miss being pregnant! x

Hope these last few weeks fly over – it is hard and I think the hibernating away sounds just right too”

I remember the feeling of wanting to punch the next person who said “you’ve not had the baby yet?” Talk about a blindingly obvious question! I hope you get a restful few weeks before baby makes his entrance x

Oh no hope you feel better soon – it can be so exhausting at this stage of the pregnancy but you sound really organised and you look amazing – you can see he is sitting nice and low – while mine is up in my ribs kicking me constantly. Hopefully everything will go smoothly and you will be holding a newborn very soon

Best of luck. I hated those last days, but they don’t last long. Before long your new baby will be in your arms.
