52 Weeks of Gratitude – Week Twenty-Seven

bump!

What a week! Seriously, I don’t’ think anything could go any more wrong {and please universe don’t try and prove me wrong!!} Tricky to find things to be grateful for when one thing after another goes wrong…. but here goes!

  1. Cake – G came home the other day with a yummy pastry from the Portuguese Cafe for me
  2. Movies – it’s the Films for Schools week, and as home educators, we get to go along for free movies too! The cinema messed up yesterday and put the wrong movie on – meaning we got to watch the new ‘Book of Life’ film which was amazing
  3. That Lola is big enough to go to her Papa’s work and get his keys when I locked me and the girls in the front yard! {We have a 6 foot metal gate that we keep locked, we went outside, and Lola shut the front door which has a Yale lock just as I realised I hadn’t picked up my keys meaning we were locked between the front door and the gate! Thankfully, I managed to get Lola over the gate and she ran and got G’s keys and freed us all!}
  4. Fruit Salad – after dropping my lasagne on the kitchen floor and thus loosing my dinner, G saved the day with a giant bucket of fruit salad. SO yummy
  5. Bump rubs from my girlies…… it’s so sweet how Kiki and Baya love rubbing my bump, talking to Beastie and giving him kisses!
  6. Cosy evenings snuggled on the sofa – seriously, these dark evenings are making me feel like hibernating. I’ve been making the most of snuggling up on the sofa, with a hot water bottle and book.
  7. Online friends – as a work at home mama, I’d be lost without my online friends – meaning there is always someone to chat to anytime of the day!
  8. A husband who makes lunch… nothing tastes as good as food that is made for you ;)
  9. Working from home – means if I want, I can work in my PJ’s ;)
  10. It’s Friday…. so ready for this week to be done and a new one to start!

How’s your week been?

A great list and a lovely photo of your bump, working in your pj’s sounds perfect – especially in this dreadful weather!

Crazy busy week here with a birthday, a party, a secret bedroom makeover, a family trip to the ballet followed by a detailed review and 3 evening rehearsals for a musical I’m in – and thats just the evenings!! All positive though so a good week!

Lovely bump, makes me miss mine and the lovely rubs and excitement my older children got when they felt baby moving :) So happy to link-up with this it’s such a lovely idea and was really nice to sit and think about all the things I am grateful for this week xx

I have to say I have been all about the cake lately – and I think being pregnant we are allow to not only feel grateful but slightly indulge in a piece or two

It is totally hibernating weather! And I agree, food cooked by someone else always tastes better – I often go off dinner by the time I have made it! Heres to a better week next week x

I’m so sorry it’s been such a nightmare week and I really hope the next one is amazing in comparison!! How scary to be locked out like that – like being in prison!! And I am so with you on the hibernating…it’s all I want to do!

So impressed that you managed to find so many positives even though lots went wrong. And that lots of them are about food :-D x

I’ve worked in my Pjs once… then I got called to school, I wasn’t ready… it wasn’t good… I am trying to get dressed before walking to work (aka office on the first floor in my home) :-)
I hope next week will be much more kind to you.

I know what you mean…sometimes you have such a pants run that it’s hard to come up with anything positive. Love the sounds of snuggles on the sofa…I’ve been loving that too lately! x
