Cleaning Day
Yesterday Kiki and Baya asked for a bucket of water and some sponges. Bucket filled with soapy water, they headed down the bottom half of the garden and spent a couple of hours cleaning all the outdoor toys. We have bare earth down there, couple that with chickens and you end up with muddy toys! The swings, slide, climbing frame, playhouse, table and rocking horses all got a good scrub.
The chickens were very interested in what they were doing the whole time! The kiddos also gave all the pots, pans and plates in their mud kitchen a clean too. They did come in soaking wet and um, just a little bit muddy ;) I think that’s a sign of a fun afternoon though.

June 20, 2014 at 05:35I always have to clean out the house often, despite the fact that I never work outside – it shows how hard obsession control is for me!

June 21, 2014 at 14:46I always give Cherry some wipes and she goes around cleaning all the cupboard doors and the washing machine / dishwasher. She loves it! It’s great to keep them entertained and with the added bonus of getting some cleaning done! x

June 26, 2014 at 12:08Brilliant! What a great idea. Love how small children like to clean (one of E’s favourite things is ‘washing’ all her little toys in a bucket of water. I think she just likes the mess really). x
