We’ve had so much rain this week, honestly it’s barely stopped. I’m trying not to complain – so many places here have been flooded, that I know we have gotten off lightly. Still, my garden is in danger of turning into a mud bath and everytime we have to go somewhere we get soaked. Oh to be a cat and spend all day inside, in the dry, sleeping! Tinkerbell has hardly left this spot in days. The only good side of the rain, is that the bulbs we planted back last Autumn are thriving! Looking forward to having some flowers in the garden again.

Rainy days require lots of indoor activities. Baya baked us these delicious brownies the other day {from this cookbook Santa brought her} chocolate cake is a must on cold, wet days right?! We picked up this Horrible History jigsaw puzzle in a charity shop the other day.

We’ve been back to homeschooling this week… our history this week was about the Phonecians, we learnt about how they were famous for blowing glass, and making beautiful glass pieces, coloured with dyes, and embeded with threads and jewels. We made some pretend glass panels, with grated crayons as our dyes, threads and sequins for jewels.

I caught a rare spot of sunshine yesterday, shining right on the owls on my bed! It was hard to resist the temptation to go cuddle them and have a nap ;) It’s been hard this week getting up with my alarm again, after a few weeks of lazy mornings over the holidays.

I’ve been trying to get back to a healthier way of eating – holidays always seem to equal way too much sugar, it’s time to fix that! These free samples came with my food order this week, looking forward to testing out that delicious looking liquid hot chocolate.

We have a home ed group today, girls have history club and gymnastic classes tomorrow and then Papa is off on Sunday – keeping our fingers crossed for a rain-free day so we can go out for a wintery picnic :). What are you weekend plans?

also… I’ve had a few emails and questions asked about homeschooling lately, I thought I would put a post together, so if you have any questions you’d like to ask, either leave a comment or email me.

Hope the rain and weather clears up very soon in your part of the world! Can’t wait to read more about how you go about homeschooling, we are starting our first year of homeschooling this year would love to know how you plan and how you choose what learning areas/subjects/topics you cover? Have a great weekend x

    Love the owls! ♥

Last week it was rainy here too but luckily we got some snow. Now it’s freezing but I think bright winter sun and sparkling white snow is worth it :)

I love hearing how others home school so as a fellow home edder ;-) my questions would be

What materials, programmes ect are you currently using?

How do you decide what to learn about, do you wait for the girls to show an interest in something, or do you have a plan set out which they work to?

    xx
