All three of my kiddos adore books. Proper little bookworms are they. It figures, both Papa and I like to read {though we don’t have as much opportunity as we once did!}. Ever since they were babies they’ve loved to be read to. I’ve read Goodnight Moon pretty much every night for the past 9 years!

We’ve only recently discovered the joy of e-books. It took a long time for me to try them out, and I was certain that I would never be sold on the idea. And while I still say Nothing quite beats curling up with a good book, e-books certainly have their place. For one, when we go out for a day, or away on holiday, I don’t always have space to pack the hundred books the girls want to take. But put them on the iPad, or Kindle, and I can take them all!

We were lucky enough to get a complimentary copy of The Frog Prince to try out. A new animated fairytale, available on the iPad for littlies, Miss Baya especially taken with it. She loved the animations, and happily sat by herself to watch them over and over. This mama is pretty sold on this modern way of reading stories. For us, it will never replace an actual book, but it has it’s place in our home, it’s a great way to add a little more storytelling and learning into everyday. You can find out more about the book HERE

Do you use e-books with your kiddos? Which ones have been the biggest hit?
