long weekends >>>>
it was a long, bank holiday weekend here. and probably one of the best in a long time. we unplugged and enjoyed some quality family time. i’m one lucky mama to have these three wonderful girls for my daughters.
lola tried out a new art club on saturday, which she loved {yay!} then we went out for a lazy lunch. sunday, of course, was easter… which equals excited kiddos! they got some treats from the easter bunny and an egg hunt in the woods. we popped to the local pub in the afternoon, as they were having a family fun day… egg hunt, bouncy castle, face painting.
monday, we packed a picnic and took a snowy walk up to erddig – one of our favourite places to go. the girls got to do another egg hunt while we were there! there was a lot of chocolate this weekend! we made some paper boats to float on the river too, then went home to defrost in front of a movie! we watched jumanji – i haven’t seen it for years, the girls loved it.
the sun finally decided to make an appearance yesterday. not much, but enough to start melting our snow… enough to make me feel a little more spring-like. a little spring cleaning was done, a long list of things that i want to do was created.
i hope you all had a fun easter weekend too

April 3, 2013 at 10:53Oh man, I haven’t seen Jumanji in quite a while. Definitely one movie everyone, especially kids, should see. It’s SO good. Since we celebrate Ostara, we don’t really celebrate Easter, but Jen’s parents do and so we had a large, delicious Easter dinner. :) Than on April 1st, we opened some wine and watched The Hobbit. SO good, as well!
