Review | New episodes of Kazoops on CBeebies!

While I’m not a fan of too much screen time for my kiddos, we do watch a little, especially through the colder winter months. Beastie usually watches half an hour of CBeebies in the mornings if he’s awake when I’m working out {though sometimes he comes and colours/paints in the den with me instead}, and he’ll occasionally watch a show in the late afternoon too if we’re home.

Thankfully, many of the shows on CBeebies are interesting and fun and often have some kind of educational aspect. One show he’s recently found a love for is Kazoops, which is all about thinking, imagination and friendship.

Monty Kazoop is a spirited boy of six, whose best friend is the family pet pig Jimmy Jones. In each episode Monty confronts a grown-up preconception about the world and sets out to challenge it, embarking on a wild imaginary adventure with Jimmy Jones in search of fresh perspectives. Every adventure is set to a unique song and a rich variety of musical styles are covered across the series.

review - new kazoops episodes

They’ve some great new episodes coming out this week, and we were lucky enough to be sent them to preview. Tonight’s show, which is on at 3.45pm is called ‘Cousin Flora’. The premise for this episode is that Monty is puzzled when his cousin Flora doesn’t enjoy playing the same way that he does, but after an adventure under the sea, Monty realises that it takes all kinds of different people to make the world the wonderful place it is.

Beastie enjoyed the story {as did his sisters!}, it’s a great show for it always has a lesson to teach – meaning it’s guilt free TV time! Don’t forget you can watch Kazoops weekdays at 3.45pm on CBeebies, or if you’ve missed it you can catch up on BBC iPlayer.

My little girl is obsessed with the Go jetters. We, like you, dont really have much tv time (mostly as I can’t stand kids tv haha) but the Go jetters we make an exception for and I can’t really fault it, shes now able to recognise a great deal of landmarks that she probably wouldn’t have learned about til school otherwise, and remembers some of the facts about each place too.
